Kinoo, Inc., in year 2000, won a $10 million Indefinite Delivery
Quantity (IDIQ) prime contract to provide A/E services to RIANG.
Kinoo is designing new facilities, as well as renovating existing
ones. Kinoo has also done a new master plan and a 6 year construction
phasing plan. Essentially the downsizing of the active duty components
of the military resulted in a need for long range planning programs
to effectively identify the expansion capability of each ANG installation.
The development and analysis of alternatives for each of the ANG
installations across the nation results in an effective tool for
the National Guard Bureau to assess future base needs for potential
expanded or new missions. The potential for growth in ANG units
has been appreciably increased with the de-escalation of military
forces overseas and nationally. Kinoo has also been the A/E of new
facilities such as the Life Support and Survival Facility. The biggest
challenge for Kinoo, Inc. is to meet the Governments program needs,
while staying within budget guidelines.
